About Us: Management Team
Neil is a pharmaceutical executive with over 20 years of experience with leading biotechnology companies including Biogen, Genetics Institute, Vertex, TKT and Stromedix. Neil has held positions of increasing responsibility in global regulatory affairs, strategic planning, portfolio management, non-clinical development, manufacturing and program management. During his career, Neil has been involved with the development, registration and successful commercial launches of several important therapeutic biopharmaceuticals (including recombinant coagulation factors, cytokines and enzyme replacement therapies). Neil received his Ph.D. in the faculty of medicine from the University of London.
Jeff is an entrepreneurial biotechnology executive with strong operational and business development experience. Jeff most recently was Director of Strategic Alliances at Alnylam where he oversaw complex international alliances and worked in program management, strategic planning, and manufacturing operations. At Biogen Idec, Jeff was Head of Business Operations at Biogen’s Innovation Incubator where he cofounded two biotechnology companies – Escoublac and Provasculon. Jeff spent the first decade of his career in healthcare IT. After selling his first company, The Telluride Group, he transitioned into life sciences by completing the dual-degree Biomedical Enterprise Program at the Harvard/MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology and MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Dr. Huttner joined Edimer in January 2010. From 2007 to 2009, he served as Medical Director at CombinatoRx, Inc., where he was responsible for clinical development in the therapeutic areas of arthritis, diabetes, and psoriasis. Previously, Dr. Huttner was Medical Director at Interleukin Genetics, Inc. as medical lead for international studies in pharmacogenomics, and involved in the launch of their Heart Health Genetic Test. Dr. Huttner is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Neonatology, with an appointment at the MassGeneral Hospital for Children, and has conducted laboratory research in the fields of innate immunity and antimicrobial peptides. Dr. Huttner received his M.D. and Ph.D. from Yale University and clinical training at the University of Colorado and Children’s Hospital, Boston. From 1985-1988, he was a Fellow in the Medical Genetics Branch at NICHD under the direction of Dr. Michael Zasloff.
Ramsey Johnson joined Edimer in March, 2010, bringing over over 13 years of experience in clinical research and business development. Most recently, Ramsey was the Director of Clinical Operations at Flexion Therapeutics, Inc. Previously, Ramsey held positions at MDS Pharma Services, Cynosure and BattelleCRO (formerly CareStat, Inc.). During his career, Ramsey has held a variety of different positions including Manager of Clinical Research, Manager of Clinical Development, Project Director, Principal Clinical Research Associate, Clinical Data Manager and Director of Business Development. Ramsey received a BA from Saint Anselm College and a MS from Lesley University.
