Information for Patients – Clinical Trials

Edimer Pharmaceuticals has a recombinant protein (EDI200) that is being developed as a treatment for X-linked Hypohidrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia (XLHED). EDI200 will be evaluated in upcoming clinical trials.

We will provide information on this website as our plans for future clinical trials are updated but you may also find out more about our clinical trials by visiting http://www.clinicaltrials.gov.

What are Clinical Trials?

Clinical trials are an important part of developing new medical treatments. Clinical trials help doctors and scientists determine if new investigational drugs are safe, prescribed at the correct dosage, and effective. Only once these criteria have been met can an investigational drug become approved treatment option for people with a specific disease, illness, or condition.

Participation in a clinical trial is always voluntary – and choosing not to participate will have no affect the current medical care patients are receiving or may receive in the future. It’s also important to know that if a patient decides to participate in a clinical trial, he or she may withdraw at any time – and for any reason. For more information on clinical trials visit CenterWatch.
